seems to waste soooo much pulp. Do the pricier ones waste less pulp and give more juice?

I bought a mid priced one before to...I think mid priced ones are the best even if they waste pulp...the expensive ones tend to be more for industrial purposes...!!! Good luck with the juicing :)

You should always go for the industrial ones - like those by Champion. The mid priced juicers will eventually work poorly because the blades get so dull, and you won't get your money's worth.

You should expect a lot of pulp from carrots (especially) and apples. Overall, it takes a lot of vegetables and fruit to make a glass full of juice. So, worry about that. It's normal.

Hi. If you like your juicer then use it. I had the same dilemma before. I study natural healing and read about juicing in depth. There seemed to be two conflicting schools of thought regarding the juicers. One is that you should break the pulp, the tiny cells themselves, to get the juice from it because there are more minerals contained in them. Unfortunately there is the opinion that by doing so, you also get concentrated pesticides/herbacides/fungicides/ripening agents, etc. Soooo, it is a toss up. If you aren't happy with it now then trade up and get one that you feel happier with. I'm still confused on which way to go, lol. Good luck.

I saw on amazon a $200 machine for $40. The reviews said it did a good job but that you would always have pulp. Go into amazon and search for juice machines, maybe its still there

Well, it's good that you're juicing. Congrats! I have a Juiceman juicer which is very good. I believe I paid $150 bucks for it and have had it nearly 10 years. It has two speeds so I'd say yes, invest in a more expensive juicer.

Keep juicing babe! You're body will thank you!

just having a juicer is a good thing just make sure you use it....some of the more expesive ones work the same but there are some that are better....but you will do just fine with a cheaper one..after you get into juicing everyday and if you can afford it you can get a cheaper one...the new juiceman juicer from Jack Lalane is affordable but a very good quality

I did the same thing you did and I ended up buying another more expensive one. Thats funny the one I bought first was $40.00 too. Anyway if you go to overstock.com they have great prices on the better juicers.

I have a Vita-mix so I eat all the pulp too. It's fiber that everyone needs so badly.

WELL, IN MY OPINION, YES BECAUSE YOU GET MORE JUICE OUT OF THE MORE EXPENSIVE ONES THAN YOU DO OUT OF THE LESS EXPENSIVE ONES.

IF YOU HAVE YOUR EYE ON A MORE EXPENSIVE ONE, THAN I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU SAVE UP YOUR MONEY AND BUY IT.

BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS.
