I wonder if vets tend to be vegetarians because of their line of work

My sister is a Vet and i asked her about this.

She says that vets in my area anyway (NE Scotland) tend to be very sympathetic with the farmers and such. Vets are a neccesity to the meat industry.

Most people I know (vets and all) go Grouse shooting and the like so I would say No.

Nope. It's sort of a catch 22. You have to have some caring for animals to become a vet, but not so much as you will have to put a lot of them down or work on ranches etc. I wanted to be a vet when I was a kid until I learned what a vet really does.

No, my sister works at our local vets and although shes vegetarian not many of the vets are. Vets shouldn't feel obligated to be a vegetarian because of their job and I don't think that the majority are.

Depending what war they fought in I think that most of them are meat meat eaters
because they have jobs like working in the steel mills and building buildings, working in a factory and they need a ll of energy to make in thur the day
and a tofu sandwich with bean sprouts and a big glass of soy milk just ain't going to cut it

eating meat is an instinct, not eating meat is a decision. there is a big difference. we are carnivores by nature.
