Usually the only STD you can get from kissing someone else is cold sores (herpes simplex virus 1). About 80% of the world has cold sores, so it's very common.

You can also get a few other STDs including HIV and syphilis, but this is REALLY rare.

You can get mono too from kissing, although it's not an STD, if a person catches this, it can takes weeks and even months to recover completely from it.

That all really depends on which STD that you're talking about. You're not going to contract chlamydia, ghonnorea, AIDS, HIV, or genital warts from kissing someone. However you could possibly contract mono or herpes from kissing. You should pick up a brochure from a local clinic that explains these things. Depending on what that person had, you might wanna get tested as well.

U best be holding hands with boys till you get married and be a good girl LOL...honey you should not be kissing a boy like that ...if you have one boyfriend, and he loves you...you won't be worrying about things like that...he will be devoted and loyal and would never put you in a position that you would even have to wonder about that...please...be a good girl and go to Disneyland or something lol..
