The word is
OSEILLE
in english it is SORREL
a leaf from the wood sorrel plant with a slightly sour flavour.
The french use it to make soups, namely:
"Soupe à l'Oseille"
and included in other vegetable soups.
Also in sauces for certain dishes.
(especially salmon and other fish like cod)

Okay.... I think I know what you're talking about now, could it be "soupe aux orties"? (roughly pronounced soup oze ortie" which is nettle soup. Green, leafy....

Here are some pics and recipes, some are more green than others:

Here is a google English translation of a recipe for it written in French (rather hilarious): http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.belgourmet.be/fr/recettes/viewrecipe.php%3Fid%3D134%26category%3DSoupes&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=7&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsoupe%2Borties%2Brecipe%26start%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN

Hope this is it! ;-)

If you go to an Organic food store, they might have it. Otherwise, you can go to a European market.
