Not the ones that really are vegetarians

Personally I think it defeats the object of being a vegetarian. I thought the whole idea of vegetarianism was not to eat anything that once lived, like a burger or a prawn. Saying that though, my vegetarian friend eats fish. I don't understand this either as she hates vegetables and her idea of 'fish' is a can of tuna.

I think that substitues such as Quorn are defeatist also, if you are a vegetarian you shouldn't want a burger, even if it is made of vegetables (or their substitutes) it is originally a 'meat thing'.

Sorry now I'm going off track! A vegetarian can eat anything....but I don't think they should eat fish.

Why don't we just come up with another name for fish eating vegetarians. Maybe vegefishatarians. There are already so many types of vegetarians. As long as you're happy with your diet. It also depends why you are a vegetarian. If it's about not killing animals, I guess you wouldn't be eating fish. I myself do it cause I hate the sight of meat.

No. Vegetarians do not eat animals at all. If someone says they are vegetarian and eats fish, they are falsely labeling themselves.

There is no such thing as a pesce vegetarian or a pollo vegetarian. Those are made up words. Pescetarian is a person who eats only fish and no other meat but is by no means any sort of vegetarian.

That's a bit like asking, can vegetarians eat meat? Of course not, by definition vegetarians eat vegetables.

If they eat fish, then as much as they might like to think otherwise, they are not vegetarians.

Strict Vegetarians will not eat any meat product. This is due to there own choices, which is in most cases so I've heard is that an animals life was taken for them to eat it. Vegans do not eat anything that comes from an animal or is part of an animal.

so therefore, no strict vegetarians do not eat fish or any other meat product of any kind.

A True Vegetarian eats only vegetables and fruits things from the plant kingdom! Fish is not a plant so if a Vegetarian eats fish the person is not Vegetarian... while eating it. Same if one eats poultry (chicken)! If you a taste similar to fish.. eat Salsify! You can use Salsify and Watermelon or Canteloupe to make false fish.. email me for the recipe if interested! Well you get the point If Vegetarian is to remain Vegetarian he/she can not eat fish or poultry!

If you are a vegetarian, then you don't eat fish because fish is meat. If you eat fish, then you're not a vegetarian. So the answer is NO.

Some do and some don't. Strictly speaking vegetarians who eat fish are called piscetarians.

Vegetarians can eat what they wish, but if they eat fish then they are not vegetarians. They would be called pescitarians.

Vegans eat nothing from any animal source including honey
