The top of the pyramid (the smallest portion of the pyramid) consists of all the foods that should be consumed in the smallest amounts over the course of your day. This part of the food pyramid consists of fats, HYDROGENATED oils (olive oil and flax oil don't count, those are HEALTHY and SHOULD be consumed), sugar and foods that are made up of food additives and substitutes. So basically you should eat the least sweets and processed foods.

You need some oil- maybe olive oil or canola- but you don't need milk or meat at all. Use fortified soy milk or orange juice for calcium, and beans and nuts for protein. Use cobalt tablets for B12. You need all the bottom of the pyramid.

Eating pyramids can damage your teeth and give you a monster tummyache. They are made of stone and are very, very hard to chew. Eat fruits and veggies instead.
