I hate the pickle! I do not want a pickle or its nasty pickle juices on my food! If I wanted a free pickle I would ask for it or buy it if it was not free. Why do I want green disgusting food on my plate? Away with the green goblin! Give me a bananna, a slim jim, or a free fig newton for cryin out loud, but ner do I desire a pickle!

This happens because you are the ONLY ONE who feels like that. If there were more of you, like over 1% of the population, then they might ask first. But there isn't, its JUST YOU! So the chances that YOU will walk into any given restaurant or fast food joint being about 250,000,000 to one, they figure "what the HELL ... just put a pickle on everything........."

Actually there is a reason the pickle made its way to your plate. Chances are if you got a pickle on the side you have ordered a greasy food of some kind.
The pickle is there to cut the greasiness with the salt and vinegar and wake up the taste buds for the next round.
Some people (like yourself) have taste buds (your tounge) that pick this up to the point that it is overpowering and it ruins their experience altogether. usually the restaurant has no trouble holding the offending green goblin is you ask when you order.

I'm so glad someone feels the same way I do! I hate pickles. Why don't people understand that food sitting next to a pickle soaks up pickle juice and gets ruined?

I like pickles. But I would rather not order a hamburger and have a pickle sitting beside it leaking juice and getting the roll all soggy. or the frys soggy
