Neosporin DOES NOT make you a diabetic. Diabetes is a disease A: your pancreas does not make insulin(type 1) or B: your cells are resistant to insulin (type 2). Diabetics have a slower wound healing time and have a greater chance for infection. Neosporin, however, is totally unrelated

Oh my goodness no, Neosporin is actually good for diabetics with small cuts. I am a diabetic and started using Neosporin because it works so well.

gonna have to agree w the masses on this one, your PT is completely wrong....and why exactly is it that diabetics arent suppossed to use Neosporin?? Ive been diabetic for 19 years & always use it on cuts n such & my docs have never told me not to

This is all nonsense. It is a fine topical antibiotic especially for diabetics to prevent infection.
