my son has a rare heart condition and someone was telling me that in ny you can get some kind of help but they were not sure where you could see about it he also has a feeding tube that you have to take classes to learn how to feed him through it and he is only 2 months old

my son has several heart defects and i was able to get ssi for him. you have to apply at your local social security office and you must have a sociall security card to be able to do it.

If your child has a long term illness (not just cold/flu) that requires you to stay at home then you may be eligible for social security benefits. Call the local SS office to find out if you should apply.

depends on the states definition of "sick" if its cancer, then yes you qualify. If its the chicken pox.. no.
