I'm going out to a work luncheon to some Tai food place. I always seem to order the wrong thing. Please describe your suggestions.

Order Pad Thai. It's noodles with peanuts tamarind and lemon grass. Very good. Add meat if you like or tofu. Try the Thai iced tea too. And the sticky rice for dessert it's rice and coconut cream sweetened.

Every Thai place i've been to offers a sampler plate....even though I eat Thai a lot I still order these sometimes....good way to get a taste of everything.

Also ANYTHING in the peanut sauce is a must have. You could dip old shoes in this sauce and they would be great!

start with the curries. They are basic and delicious. Panang or yellow or green or red. Yellow or green (little difference in taste) served with chicken, potato, carrot it contains coconut milk and basil. very good. A red curry with pineapple, shrimp and a thin noodle is also very good. Try a summer roll and eat it with peanut sauce and the pepper sauce. These are good starters Even a kid will like!

TAI? Food from Thailand? THAI. You know, what Yul Brenner ate in the King and I.

By far one of the BEST Thai dishes is tom yum (it's soup) - it's got a zillion different flavors in every bite - tom kha is also great - same as tom yum but with coconut milk added.

Cashew chicken with two stars. The starts represent the spiciness. Also, be sure to get fried bananas for dessert, and coconut milk soup for your side! Bon appetit!
