Shark meat meat is the main ingredient in harkal (hakarl) which is buried for between two and six months, until it has reached just the right stage of decomposition, then swallowed raw with a strong swig of spirits. It tastes cheesy, strong flavoured and a little 'off'.

Mouldy shark meat, you let the meat decompose for 6 months and then eat it raw!
