No. You went through the trouble to cook for them and entertain them. They should be happy about that. If they find something in your dishwasher that shouldn't be there, smile and don't give it a second thought.

I have had family members help me unload my dishwasher at holiday parties and events many times. I have no idea what on earth would be in the dishwasher that would be embarassing. Seriously, what did you have in the dishwasher? Was it a party favor from a bachelor party? I have seen "Boobie" serving dishes for groomsmen as keep-sakes. Is that what you had in there? If so, if they can't take a joke and your not married you have the right to tasteless plates. It is the right of all single males to have mismatched plates, furniture, and socks.

1) Why would a guest be searching your dishwasher?
2) What other things do you put in a dishwasher besides cups and dishes?
I don't think it's embarrassing, but perhaps they're more curious about what they may have found.
