If you are ordering it out..ask the wait person. If you are making it at home ~READ THE LABELS!
I too am allergic to wheat.. there are 100's of Rice, Corn, Buckwheat(Not wheat based) Noodles on the market.

According to what I read in my info site Lo-Mein Noodles are a Wheat-Egg Noodle. So no they aren't good for daughter. But a rice base noodle can be subsituted easily.

In some there are, you should substitute them for rice noodles (pretty much the same to me). By the way, just a little cultural note that lo mein is cantonese for a noodle soup (lo is the way you cook it, mein means noodles), and lao mien is the mandarin version.

Yes, lo mein noodles are a stir fried wheat noodle.

Yes, regular Lo Mein noodles are made of wheat.
Maybe you should try mung bean, potato or rice noodles.
The mung bean noodles are especially good. They're transparent, delicious and NO WHEAT.

Yes, but most restaurants are happy to substitue rice noodles if you ask.
