If there is a park near by this is a good idea especially if there are other children going to be there. Most parks have bbq's and tables and chairs, most even have covered areas. Decorate the table and trees etc with streamers and balloons. Kids can go mad running around, Decor have wonderful designs on their disposable products (if on a budget $2 shops have them as well) & the cleaning up is a breeze! No major mess at anyone's place. Plus the other children will be that worn out playing they'll be in bed early.

How many babies do you need to throw from Canary Wharf to create the shower?

Many apartments have clubhouse rooms they'll rent out. Some of the nicer ones have nice views too....like swimming pools.

I'm having one next week for my sister-in-law. It's going to be at the city park. This time of year it's not crowded, so we don't have to call ahead for reservations.

you could always hold your baby shower in your back garden or house get cateres in and someone to help you put up decoration before the guests arrive

Maybe see if there is a church nearby that will let you hold this event. Maybe there is someone in the group that attends a church and they can ask their church leader if it would be ok touse the church room or something for that.

See if you can find a restaurant with a function room and then book that for the event.

It really helps with who you know...for these events. My sister in law reserved the country club for mine. Her parents lived in the area so it was free. Just really think about how you know when doing this...it really helps...

if you go to church they are usually willing to let members use a room there, or any community center will let you use a room for free or next to cheap
