How angry should you be? First time I get any disease like this, and I'm a male who contracted it from a female through oral sex. When I got upset about it after she told me, she told me to calm down and that I was blowing the situation out of proportion. From a socially casual perspective, what do you think?

If she knew than you have every right to be angry.....HOWEVER, chlamydia like herpes can lay dormant in the body for years and then come up to haunt you from your past. Unless you know for sure that she was the one that had it, it could have come from anyone that you have ever been with in your past or hers. She too could have been carrying it for years and it was never problematic. She should have the good decency to be contrite though I must say. Thank goodness it was something that can easily be taken care of. Much peace and good luck.

Go to your doctor get an antibiotic for it then convince your infector to get treated too so no one else gets it. Most likely they did not know they were being infected. Use condoms with new lovers to prevent yourself from reinfection
