The length of stay will depend a lot on what surgeries were preformed and whether they come out of surgery still on a ventilator... how sick they were before having the surgery is an indicator of how long it will take for them to recover from the surgery itself. You have to remember that just because someone had lung surgery dosent mean that only the lungs are affected. The body works as a system and can only function as such when in good health, so if one thing is not working properly, everything else could suffer too.

Anesthesia will have little or nothing nothing to do with recovery at all.

Anesthesia wears off quickly. Usually within 24 hours of the last time they had it.

It really depends on the type of anesthesia used and the amount of anesthesia given during the surgeries.

it begins to wear off almost immediately after it is discontinued. So about 30 minutes.
