My father is diabetic and has had all of his toes amputated, and must wear speciality shoes, I dearly want to help him find a shoemaker that could fashion him with a pair of sneakers.

I need to find a shoe maker that can make a speciality shoe for a feet that have NO TOES. My father is a diabetic so it has to be a high quality shoe that doesn't rub. My father has a specialty boot, but he really would like to wear a sneaker type again.

Get a referral from his family doctor. Usually if the family doctor will validate the medical necessity, insurance will pay for this medical device. A stock diabetic shoe and insole likely isn't enough. (Lots of places try to sell diabetic shoes). He should probably have one with a custom made filler. Some podiatrists do this as well.

Try Big Feet Store. They not only have large size shoes, they have specialty shoes, specifically for people with diabetic problems. Here is the link:

If none of the suggestions from the other answerers help you, talk to a medical place that makes and/or fits diabetic shoes. They usually know a lot of things and have contacts in town. They also get a massive amount of catalogs send to their office.
Good luck to you and your dad.

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes.
And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you.

i do not know about a store that has any special shoes, ask your state rehab worker, they should have resources or check out hospital supplies and also ask the doctor who did the operation, they can give information and write out a prescription, maybe insurance will assist in paying for this

I don't know much about shoes but read my page and testimonials about the benefits of taking glyconutrients and save the rest of his foot.
