actually, I have been a vegetarian and my breath tastes/smells better than it did 2 years ago when I ate meat, some non-vegetarians I know also eat tofu, their breath is fine, they also eat garlic, and yes that makes your breath smell for a day or so. My friend hasn't eaten meat since she was 3, and her breath smells fine too. It has little to do with whether you eat meat or not, more to do with your dental hygiene routine, and even genetics. Many people skip flossing and that really leaves food in your teeth and makes your breath smell worse.

This is one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard. Traviesa, the meat eaters have the high protein diets, and real vegeterians do not eat fish, by the way...To Simon p- I can't speak on behalf ofall vegetarians, but me personally, I do perform oral sex, andI'm loving it, it is NOT the same as eating meat, I don't actually bite off pieces of flesh...I don't think it's fair to judge someone for their choices without experiencing the same. I have been a meat eater, I do not judge them, I don't think any different of them, it's their choice. They like meat ,I don't, that's all. Why the hell do some people make such a big deal out of it, let everyone be. It's just the food you prefer, it doesn't define you as a person. It'sthe samething as someone liking chocolate cake and somebody else carrot cake, you know..

you had me laughing for good 5 mins ... you beat the stand up comedians!!!
Are you not generalizing a whole group of people into bad breath people huh!
Listen pal the vegetarian that you met must not have good clean dental hygiene and that is the reason this person's breath smells, so offer him/ her a mint or two.
But breath depends entirely on how good is your dental hygiene and has nothing to do with either being a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian!

Are you kidding. The most disgusting smells in the world come from the holes of the non vegetarians.
Because, meat's smell is more disgusting. Leave vegetables and meat to rot, then you know which smells worst.
If you think vegetarians smell bad, then you are a pervert having fetish for disgusting smells.
Well some vegetables or products smell bad, but you can not generalise all vegetarians smell bad.
Any way you made my day........... I could not stop laughing after i read your question.

besides the undeniable fact that breath is relating to the ingredients you devour (garlic makes your breath smell stable and unsightly as an occasion) i think of this is extremely based on your oral hygiene. I take particularly good care of my tooth, i've got in user-friendly terms ever had one hollow area, it substitute into on a loose the tooth while i substitute right into a baby and it fell out, so i are not getting undesirable breath besides when I arise interior the morning or if i've got eaten some thing stable like garlic or onions. I additionally devour lots of fruit and drink lots of water and that i come across this is sweet at neutralizing mouth odour via fact it retains my mouth hydrated. So i think of this is fullyyt based on how good somebody treats their tooth to no count if or not their breath is appealing.

It's got nothing to do with being a vegetarian, it's all about the person's oral hygiene! I'm a vegetarian and my breath doesn't smell bad at all, whereas someone I work with who is non veggie, hers smells a bit off. But it all boils down to their cleaning technique as far as I'm concerned - whether they brush thoroughly, floss, use mouthwash, etc.

LOL....why are you generalizing!!!
And um, I have never smelled anyone's breathe unless it kicked me in the face while they were talking. From there, I try to hold my breath as long as I can and move my face to the side to take short breaths in....try that. Have a nice day!

We often use a lot of spices in food that people aren't used to; and it's true, tofu and seitan have a distinctive smell.
Vegetarians notice that meat-eaters smell unpleasant, too--like burning cardboard.
