Type II puts you at "more" risk for many things, aneurysms included, but this does not mean you are at a great risk. More risk just means a little more risk than those of us who do not have diabetes. As long as you take good care of yourself and have good medical care you should be fine. Have you called the ADA and had them send you all the literature they have? It would be a great idea and it is free.

An aneurysm is a weak spot in an artery that bulges or separates layers of the wall and can "blow out" causing severe hemorrhage or death. They can occur in any artery, commonly in the aorta, the largest artery, in the arteries of the brain, and even the coronaries of the heart.
Diabetes of either type can cause damage to the circulatory system and aneurysm is among the risks. Diabetics, especially Type II, also often have high blood pressure as a cofactor and hypertension is a serious risk factor for aneurysm.
If you have Type II diabetes, minimize all of your risks of complications by having excellent blood sugar controil and regular medical follow-up. Don't smoke and control your blood pressure.

Diabetic people usually have atherosclerosis
So patients who have atherosclerosis can develop aneurysms
