I know how you feel. It's would be easy to advice you to go visit a doctor or an STD clinic since even though it is the right thing to do there are still those who refuse to. But I am just thinking that if you would really decide not to because of shame then you're taking some degree of risk since although there are some effective oral meds you still have the chance of having complications and treatment failures are a possiblity. But just in case just follow this course. By the way, this oral regimens are prescribed for uncomplicated cases. Though most are responsive to such regimens there are those that fail which can point to possible resistant strains. This infection has also a chance of ascending into the adjacent and surrounding tissues. If these fails, you have no other choice but to do it and seek professional intervention. Select from the following oral medications:

1. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg single oral dose
2. cefuroxime axetil 1 gram single oral dose with probenecid 1 gram orally taken simultaneously.

Note: it should be followed by a 7 day course of either doxycycline 100 mg orally twice daily for 7 days or tetracycline 500 mg orally four times a day for 7 days. Those who are allergic or those who cannot tolerate both Doxycycline or tetracycline may substitute erythromycin base or stearate, 500 mg orally four times a day for seven days or erythromycin ethylsuccinate, 800 mg. orally for seven days in order to eliminate a coexisting Chlamydia Trachomatis infection.

Make sure that you are not allergic to any of the medications. Your previous history of drug allergy will help you to know if there really is. Good luck and next time make sure to protect yourself.

Gonorrhoea:
Gonorrhoea is a serious illness caused by an organism called Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
It has an incubation period of only a few days.
Males experience a discharge from the urethra - the tube that carries urine from the bladder and out through the penis - causing painful urination, while females suffer infection of the urethra and cervix.
Women who are infected have a long term risk of serious complications, such as infertility or ectopic pregnancy.
However, it is possible to be infected with gonorrhoea without showing any obvious symptoms.
Women are particularly vulnerable to this asymptomatic form of the disease.
The condition can be treated with antibiotics. However, it is becoming resistant to some drugs.
Please see the webpages for images and more details on Gonorrhea.

The long-term risks of untreated gonorrhea are far worse than a little embarrassment to see your doctor. I am sure he/she has seen it all before and probably much worse. Treatment for gonorrhea involves an antibiotic in either pill or injection form. While this is highly effective to treat you, antibiotics can not reverse any damage done to your sexual organs. So, it is best to get over being ashamed and see your regular doctor immediately. If you just can't bring yourself to face your regular doctor, then visit an urgent care facility or low-cost health clinic. If nothing else is available, go to the ER. You can not cure gonorrhea on your own.

You need antibiotics to cure that, and they need to be prescribed by a doctor. If you're too ashamed to see your doctor, there should be a number of walk-in clinics (or even the local ER) that you can go to. Just don't authorize them to send information to your GP, so that he's isn't copied on it. Either way, you need to get treated.. embarrassment is a lot easier to live with.

I know it can be embarrasing to go to the doctor's but they have seen it all. Go to your local clinic where they can give you antibiotics. Many people tend to search through their medicines for antibiotics and think it is going to help, when really it could make things a lot worse. Go the the doctor or clinic asap, the longer you leave it the harder it is for you to make the first step and the higher risk of having complications. I hope it helps and good luck.

You will have to ask your doctor about the antibiotic.

Treatment

Gonorrhea is treated with antibiotics. A full course of antibiotics generally eliminates the problem. It is always better to see the doctor after completing the course to make sure that you are free of gonorrhea. Even if the symptoms disappear in a few days, you must complete your total course of antibiotics.

Get on to Yell.co.uk / Thomson local and look up your closest GUM clinic or Family Planning Clinic. Both of them have open evenings when you can go in without an appointment and they will confidentially treat you and give you the required medication. No one else ever need know !!
(it IS important that you get it sorted soon tho, as these things DO get worse and could end up effecting your fertility in later life)

You have to go to the doctor and get a prescription for antibiotics.

Rocephin (ceftriaxone), Cipro (ciprofloxacin), Levaquin (levofloxacin), Floxin (ofloxacin), and Trobicin (spectinomycinare) all used to treat gonorrhea. These all need a prescription from your doctor. It also wouldn't be a bad idea to get tested for chlamydia as well. I've read up to 50% of people who have gonorrhea also have chlamydia. Good luck!

***Also, penicillin is NOT used to treat gonnorrhea like the person above me said. Penicillin is only used to treat the STD syphills.

You need to go to a doctor as soon as you can this week. As you wouldn't able to have kids if you want them in the future because you will become infertile if you don't treat it leave it for months, and you can die from it too. Take a deep breathe go down there, and speak slowly.
