Ok, so my personal choice of lifestyle is straight edge... Now we may all have different opinions of a straight Iifestyle but I define straight edge as nothing unatural such as; drugs, prescription drugs, over the counter drugs, booze, caffiene... and other qualities such as no casual sex and a diet that is either veggie or vegan.

Is there anyone else out there, for those who are, do you find it hard in society with all the people who fail to understand the way we chose to live and continue to pass judgement?? Please no comments from people belittiling my lifestyle and that of others...

I do not believe in casual sex... This means I will have sex if I am in a meaningful relationship but no one night stands.

I forgot to mention, my lifestyle choices are not due to religion at all, ie I am not a mormon or devout Christian, I am actually a very devout Pagan...

Yes, thank God, I'm not the only one. My friends all drink and do drugs, except maybe one because he's all like a devout Christian... but me, people are like you're too healthy blaa de blaa and to be honest it's wrecking my head. I don't criticise anybody else's way of life because i believe it is everyone's own choice but why do they give such a toss when my way is so different?!! I don't eat anything that is processed, meat and just junk in general. it's harder for me because I'm a teen, and here in Ireland EVERYONE i know drinks

I miss the days when all I had to do to be straightedge was be punk but not spend eighteen hours a day wasted or get laid by a different girl every night. Damn, man-- if those are the new straight edge rules, I guess I'm way out of the club.

Edit: What the... do you even listen to punk rock? Did the mainstream steal straightedge? That's painful.

I have too take some prescription drugs because I had major surgery. I only drink champagne on New Years Eve ,my birthday and my fiancee's birthday,no drugs or over the counter drugs,I have been with my fiancee' for 10 years and he is the "only" one that i have had sex with,we eat lots of vegetables and fruits, but also small amounts of meat(kosher)So.. we are very similar on our lifestyles.
You know, people on this website are judgmental when it comes to religion, race, political views, and sex.I feel they look down on peoples beliefs because, they are not educated on our views and beliefs so instead of educating themselves about a certain subject, they would rather belittle someone.I get angry at some of these people because my fiancee'and I are highly educated people.i try not too judge others but sometimes it comes flying out of my mouth before i have a chance to stop it. my parents tell me that i listen to much too what other people say to me or about me and that I should take it with a grain of salt, and let it go in one ear and out the other. i do try and not let people hurt my feelings and judge my ways, but it is so hard when I am adamant about something/ somebody important to me.Anyway.I likes your introduction and question. Also,I wrote your name done so i can watch for other ques tons. take -care and if you want to talk feel free to e-mail me anytime.I am giving you a thumbs up by the way,Bye

I'm into natural products with the wellness co.. as for everything else i still fall victim to from time to time. I wouldn't worry about society pressure to the norm. We have to deal with it everyday. This is one of the only reasons my business is so hard. Alot of people will not listen to this type of stuff. When I go into things like bleach is killing us and the FDA is full of it, then people don't wanna listen to that type of stuff unless their health is already falling apart. Then maybe they will give it some thought. Other than that, it's hopeless.. esp the youth today.

I do drink the occasional beer but not enough to get drunk (sometimes buzzed but usually not even that). Beyond that however, I fit the bill perfectly. Which I personally find annoying that so many have problems with what they believe is a person in their 20's who is still a virgin (I am not, but I have quit since those couple of times in my teens, and I now practice abstinence as part of my belief system). I do grow tired myself of always being made fun of, but I do my best to ignore it (it isn't there business, so I don't tell them usually).

i am not a vegan, but i respect your choice. i agree with the rest, no drugs, alcohol, pre-marital relations, etcetera. i am very comfortable with my lifestyle and you should be too. why worry about what others think? do they live your life? do you go to sleep each nite with a clear mind and look yourself in the mirror and feel good about yourself? OK! close your ears to those who might judge you. there's is only 1 judge we all must answer to and it's not in this life on earth!

I agree with everything but the eating habits, but more power to you. I think our society is getting harder to live in just in general. I think intolerance is getting worse and not better in a lot of areas, especially religion.
