STD Testing?

Question

A few weeks ago, I had unprotected sex with one of my best friends. A couple of days ago, I found out that my friend is very promiscuous and he/she probably has an STD. Is there a way I could get an accurate HIV test done now, because I do not think I can wait 3-6 months.

GreenGrasshopper, what the hell are you talking about? I do not have a sexual addiction, my friend does. He is the one that might have infected me. I should have used a condom, but he was my good friend and I didnt think he would try to harm me in any way.

Get tested! If you have enough money, maybe get a Nucleic Acid Test and if you were infected within the past ten days, it will tell you if you have HIV or not. More than likely you may not have it, so do not stress about it.

I'd get one done, but retest in several months. Just read your other Qs (no offense). I'll pray for you. But here's the deal:

Get into counseling! You can't conquer addiction by yourself. The first step, you've already taken: realizing you have a problem and trying to reach out.

It's embarassing. But I'm in counseling also, so I know.

Browse that web site also. New Life has several ministries for sexual addictions, and they have a radio show you can call in to. But they're hard to get on the phone IMO.

New Life is a Christian organization, if you haven't guessed already. And that may or may not be in line with your beliefs. Either way, call them. Don't risk your life when you can do something about it!

Get tested once a month for 6 moths just to be safe...but to make you feel better you acutally have to TRY to get HIV/AIDS...so if your friend has been having sex with like druggies or a lot of promiscuous sex in the homosexual community then u should be worried but to make you feel better....HIV/AIDS isn't like HPV (which is what you would prolly get 80% of the sexually active Americans have it) which is everywhere...you should get tested for everything though not just HIV/AIDS

Number one lesson learnt: Don't ever have unprotected sex with people that are around the block a few times over. Second just go and have a health check up. Blood work usually gives a good picture what's wrong. I don't know much about AIDS tests, but your doctor will give you confidential info about it.

Did you try planned parent hood? I know they do the testing but I am not sure how quick the response time is. I am not going to lecture you on how you should have used a condom-- I so in fact think it's excellent that you are taking the steps needed to find out if you have anything and what you can do to prevent it.

dont panic.stress will kill u. Get a bloodtest for HIV but its too early. For now u could improve your immune system by taking Virgin coconut oil and garlic soft gel. Instead of panicking search the internet for these two alternative medicines. Good luck.

yes go to your doctors office ,they have a hiv test that can give you results within a couple days now!!!

You could go to a local health clinic such as Planned Parenthood.

Or, if you're an adult female, you can go see your gynecologist.

go to your local heath department. you know where you go to get your shots or immunizations. they will give you an test that should be back in two weeks or less.
