my girlfriend is a vegan and loves A1 but someone told me it wasnt vegan and im to lazy to find a bottle and check anyone know.

ingredients:
Tomato paste, distilled vinegar, corn syrup, salt,raisin paste,crushed orange puree, spices and herbs, dried garlic and onion, caramel color, potassium sorbate, xanthan gum


looks fine to me.

I actually just got the recipe for a one the other day. The main ingredients are raisins and oj and stuff like that. Worchestershire sauce is the only one not vegan because it has anchovy in it. She can have ketchup and heinz 57 too, no meat or by products.

As far as i know it's just pureed tomato with spices and worchestershire sauce. But, what good is steak sauce without a steak..?

I'm not shur, I haven't looked throu the ingrdents... some unfamiliar things might come from animals. most suger does for example, is mixed with bone char, gum has animal blood in it, etc.

uh its a sauce for steak its probally vegan cause theres no meat in it right?

yes it is. There is no meat/broth in it ,it does contain vinegar also raisins other spices and probably alot of salt

i dont know but in my opinion, A1 should be over a baked potato, not nasty steak!

yes. it's steak sauce, but it's not made from steak. oh, but it might have worcestirshire sauce which has anchovies, so i don't know. read the ingredients.
