lo mein and chow mein are made with different types of noodles. It makes sense - after all, chow mein noodles are crispy while lo mein noodles are soft, right? Actually, the main difference between these two popular dishes lies in how the noodles are cooked.

regular chow mein, is sliced cabbage and bean sprouts, celery carrots garlic with crunchy noodlle.
cantonese chow mein is stirfried meat, broccoli, and other good stuff with soft skinny noodles underneath.

in uk it has soft dry noodles in it
