The only organs of the body that differ in males and females are the reproductive organs. So to answer your question, no, it does not make a difference if a female receives a heart transplant from a male donor.

I would think that blood type and heart size would have the most effect on a transplant. I doubt sex would be a factor.

It has to be the same blood type but it doesn't matter if it's male or female as long as the tissue is compatible.

yes indeed. they've even used pig hearts in human transplants. it just depends on if theyre a good match,same blood type, etc. and if the new heart is healthy enough to help

the blood types have to match, and also the size. Anatomically, men have larger hearts than women.
