Guess it depends on where you are from. Curries are just a mixture of spices. Some curries smell sweet, pungent, tangy, spicy. I do have to say i like the smell of most of the asian and indian curries and do like the smell of american chili (a curry also) but some of the more sour curries with tamarind or mango powder i am not particular to the smell or taste.

ME. I hate the strong smell of curry. I do not mind the taste, but the smell if someone is cooking a large amount of something is awful.

i find that theres different smells to different curries-- indian curries for example, dont smell pleasant but i love the taste. my family makes indonesian curry sometimes, and i dont think that has a weird smell

I hated curry when I was in England...then back in the USA - met my fiance who makes his own curry and now I LOVE it.

different curries have different smell...indian,chinese,indonasian,malaysian,arabian etc etc..n most of them differ in smell..like some of them are mild and some strong...i hate the smell of it on people...but i like da smell of curry while cookin it..and i love ethnic cooking so i dont mind it as long as its not reeking off some one!!

I don't mind it too much, I hate the smell of Parmesan Cheese.

I completely hate this smell....I don't mind it while I'm cooking or eating it.....but I totally hate smelling it on other people.....IT REEKS LIKE BO....

Or maybe I'm being kind...maybe the people I smell it on have BO?????
