I found that almost 2 months ago, I had chlamydia. I took two weeks of doxycycline, and a dose of .. whatever the medcine that starts with "azyth" is called. Sometimes, I'll have a little bit of irritation in my urethra. It's mild, and comes and goes rarely. Could I still be infected?

Oh, it might help if I were to mention that I am male, and both my partner and I have completed the treatment. However, we have abstained from vaginal/oral contact until we are both tested again.

I think the other drug you are talking about it Azithromycin.

It's possible that you may not have completely gotten rid of the bacteria. It's also possible that you may have developed a UTI or even a mild yeast infection.

Taking antibiotics can cause women and sometimes men to develop a yeast infection.

It's probably a good idea that you go and get it checked out by your doctor, especially if it is irritating you.

Doxycycline usually cures, but if you are having itching Take a course of Azithromycin after consulting your doctor.

Depending on your age, you could just be urinating after being dehydrated and feel the burn then.

If you followed the Dr's directions on the medication, you most likely do not have it still.

It's worth being retested to put your mind at ease.
