King Prawn Butterfly
Ingredients
Serves 1
1 Large Crevette King Prawn
Quarter Lemon
Vegetable Oil
Breadcrumbs
1 beaten egg
Method
Peel the king prawn and remove the black vein from along it's back. Using a sharp knife cut along the length of the prawn almost but not quite through. Flatten the two sides of prawn out into a butterfly shape, dip first in the egg and then the breadcrumbs and pan fry for 2 minutes each side. Serve with a wedge of lemon.

There is an old phrase "Start a hare" - meaning to introduce or raise an irrelevant issue into an argument or discussion.
Does your question or my answer fit best?
I hope this is a "starter for ten"!
To answer the question - it depends what's to follow but I do like port and melon (ice-cold)

Depends on what the main course is...
I LOVE Calamari w/ lemon, Crab stuffed mushrooms w/ garlic butter, French bread w/ pesto, or coconut shrimp prawns.

Rabbit liver pâté from Le Gourmand bistro in Seattle. I've never stopped craving it since first trying it 4 years ago.

garlic mushrooms - huge mushrooms done in a garlic oil (so you can mop it up with a piece of crusty bread) -mmmm v bad but there you go. My local italian does it - no bread crumbs just plain simple and good cooking - the mushrooms are huge!
