Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas. The pancreas is a large gland behind the stomach and close to the duodenum. The duodenum is the upper part of the small intestine. The pancreas secretes digestive enzymes into the small intestine through a tube called the pancreatic duct. These enzymes help digest fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in food. The pancreas also releases the hormones insulin and glucagon into the bloodstream. These hormones help the body use the glucose it takes from food for energy.

Normally, digestive enzymes do not become active until they reach the small intestine, where they begin digesting food. But if these enzymes become active inside the pancreas, they start "digesting" the pancreas itself.

Acute pancreatitis usually begins with pain in the upper abdomen that may last for a few days. The pain may be severe and may become constant—just in the abdomen—or it may reach to the back and other areas. It may be sudden and intense or begin as a mild pain that gets worse when food is eaten. Someone with acute pancreatitis often looks and feels very sick. Other symptoms may include

swollen and tender abdomen
nausea
vomiting
fever
rapid pulse
Severe cases may cause dehydration and low blood pressure. The heart, lungs, or kidneys may fail. If bleeding occurs in the pancreas, shock and sometimes even death follow

See a GI doc. The pancreas is both an exocrine organ (secreting digestive enzymes:lipase, protease) and an endocrine organ (secreting insulin and glucagon). It sounds like the pancreas may not be producing enough digestive enzymes. (one can take supplementary Rx pancreatic enzymes) Diseases of the pancreas and liver are nothing to fool around with. Some of the symptoms you describe can be consistant with cystic fibrosis- some CF patients are diagnosed as adults because of GI problems. Good luck.

A disease in which malignant (cancer) cells are found in the tissues of the pancreas. .................Symptoms

Pancreatic cancer is sometimes called a "silent disease" because early pancreatic cancer often does not cause symptoms. But, as the cancer grows, symptoms may include:

Pain in the upper abdomen or upper back

Yellow skin and eyes, and dark urine from jaundice

Weakness

Loss of appetite

Nausea and vomiting

Weight loss

These symptoms are not sure signs of pancreatic cancer. An infection or other problem could also cause these symptoms. Only a doctor can diagnose the cause of a person's symptoms. Anyone with these symptoms should see a doctor so that the doctor can treat any problem as early as possible

Sweetie it sounds like you need to chill out......You sound like you are a young growing girl and if this is so that's all it is just growing pains. If your doctor has done all the test he/she can do, you need to trust your doctor or see another one.
Your pancreas will not let you forget it IF it is damaged or in need of care, believe me it will tell you, you & your doctor won't be able to ignore it.
Why do you think its your pancreas? it could just as well be your liver or the lower lobe of your lung? Thirst is not a common symptom of pancreases disease. Do you have a diabetic in the family or a friend thats diabetic and you are worried about it? You can ask this persn to talk to you about the disease to help you with your fears of it.
We are all worried and afraid of the unknown disease that can get us, just don't let it rule your life.
enjoy your health.

sounds like your pancreas is alright, sugar level is normal. pancreas pain is usually isolated to a sharp stabbing pain in the center of the abdomin right below the rib cage. could be something else, but also could just be anxiety.
