If you are faithful to one another then there is no reason to be afraid of. However, between Chlamydia and HIV, it is the Chlamydia which shows up first and is followed 3 months later by HIV infection.

If you were negative for HIV disease based on a blood test with a confirmation by western blot. HIV will not show up later unless you both were practicing unsafe sex and having sex with other partners again without the use of condoms. chlamydia is much more easily to contract because it is caused by bacteria that is exchanged during sex and doesn't necessarily require but minimal contact bacteria is much more easily to exchange during sex than HIV. HIV requires body fluids into the blood stream. Practicing unsafe sex with multiple partners puts a person at high risk of contracting HIV. When you don't know the history of your partner's sex life you risk knowing if this person has sex with men or sex with drug users. These individuals are considered high risk at contracting HIV. There are studies that show if you contract sexually transmitted disease you are at a higher risk of contracting HIV because condoms are not being used and multiple partners can put a person at risk of contracting diseases that are sexually transmitted.
