she probably has too much protein in her urine which means her body isn't filtering her urine properly. Have her drink lots of water and 100% cranberry juice. That may help.

It is most likely caused by a urinary tract infection. It may be darker in color than normal. It could also be cloudy. The smell is very strong and not very lady-like [if ya know what I mean]. She should see her doctor right away and he'll probably prescribe an antibiotic. Usually after the first or second dose of the pill, the smell will subside. She can also drink lots of water and cranberry juice to flush out her bladder. It's great for the body and it really helps to detoxify her. Here's some articles I found on the topic:

http://www.orthoelmiron.com/html/elm/pd_consumer.xml?article=conditions_infections.jspf

I hope this helps!

Differential diagnosis:

1) Urinary tract infection/cystitis where bacteria are replicating in the urine in her bladder. Urinalysis will quite quickly show this.

2) Metabolic disorder or food she ate. Is this an always type thing, or new onset?

3) She does not flush the toilet often enough.

I have a question: Why, in this adult forum are you using the euphemism #1, instead of the term urinate?

if she eats lots of asparagus, or brussel sprouts, the urine will smell due to the sulfur compounds in the veggies. A Urinary tract infection can cause this as well. Tell her to see a gyno.

she can try cranberry juice, or cranberry
capsules. I take the caps and they are
cheap and easy to take; one a day.
Probably she should have a urine
analysis to find out the real problem.

I think when your pee pee stinks it means your drinkin too much pop. drink water. not too much though because you can die from drinking too much water. it dilutes your blood. learned that in a nutrition class at Oklahoma State University.

Please conduct Urinalysis in a clinical laboratory. Please ask her to drink a lot of water (more than 8 glasses of water daily). This will flush out the impurities in the body.
