Rent to buy a chafing dish and put cooked scrambled eggs there. Also use a plate for bacon. Can't beat this classic american breakfast.

You can snazzy it up a little bit by laying out a platter of meats (like ham & salami) and cheeses with some greenery or prettily cut tomato in the middle.

And don't forget the coffee! Good luck.

I'm going to be very specific here:

Fruit Kabobs- Skewer chunks of fruit -Pineapple, melon, grapes, Strawberries on wooden skewers... They are a must for all of my get togethers-Always a Big Hit.

Bagels & Cream Cheese- Cut a variety of bagels after you toast them cut them into quarters and have a selection of different Cream Cheeses- garlic, dill, veggie...

Eggs Benedict- Poached eggs sitting atop of a slice of back bacon (or ham) and a toasted crumpet covered in Hollindase sauce. You can make these -do-it-yourself by putting out all the ingedients or plate them yourself and serve. For a complete recipe see www.epicurious.com

Toasted Rye served with Jam/Peanut Butter/Nutella/Fluff...ect

Fresh Brewed Coffee, Tea and Orange Juice!

If you want a real perk to breakie, make the Orange Juice into a Mimosa by adding a bit of Champagne (mix together in a jug) ratio is 3 to1. Yum!

Enjoy!

You can make or buy those min quiches. Sausage links and bacon. Also, for larger groups a nice breakfast casserole. You can always make those the night before. Fresh cut fruit ( what ever is in season) recipe for my favorite below. Fresh juices and coffee.

Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Serves 6; Prep time: 15 minutes; Total time: 1 hour 40 minutes

8 ounces Italian sausage (about 3), casings removed
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (if very dry, soaked in hot water and drained first)
Unsalted butter, for baking dish
8 large eggs
1 cup milk
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
6 to 8 ounces Italian bread, sliced 1/2 inch thick
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 6 ounces)

1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage, stirring occasionally, and breaking up meat with a spoon, until browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Add onion; cook. Stirring, until soft, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes. Transfer to a plate; let cool until barely warm.

2. Butter an 8-inch-square baking dish. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Arrange half the bread in a slightly overlapping layer in bottom of dish. Scatter half the sausage mixture and then half the cheese over the bread. Repeat with remaining bread, sausage, and cheese, pressing firmly. Pour egg mixture over layers. Cover and refrigerate at least 20 minutes or up to overnight.

3. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake, uncovered, until puffed and golden and a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, 35 to 45 minutes.

you could also do bread dipped in egg with a pinch of salt and pepper and then stick it in the frying pan for a few minutes its lovely, good luck with what ever you go with

Easy: Cereals, toast, selection of jams etc., tea, coffee, juice, croissants (warm). Then you don't have to bother cooking for them and they get loads of choice.

For a continental flavour you could also add some cold meat, cheese and perhaps some hard boiled eggs.

Nothing will spoil and what you don't use (most of it) will keep to be used by you during the next few days.

Kippers and lots of fresh crusty bread.
Bacon? That could be cooked and kept warm in the oven. There aren't many Midlanders who would say no to a bacon butty!
Or get in one of those variety packs of cereals. Get in extra milk, coffee and tea bags and some OJ.
Sorted.
