I've been taking glucophage (500mg) for close to a year, and I sweat like crazy when taking it. I'm "pre-diabetic" and have tried to stop taking it, but that makes me blow up like a balloon. I can't handle sweating like this all the time. I'm also taking Synthroid, which seems to just be making it that much worse! Help!!!

I have been taking it for about 3 years, and I have had no side-effects from it. How old are you? Are you female? Could you be having menopause or premature menopause? I don't think sweats are a side-effect of Glucophage. Might be the Synthroid. I take Amour Thyroid, and I think it's better than Synthroid. Just my experience.

I don't even take the stuff, but if you ask me it could be the begining of a side effect. consult with your docter. and good luck!
