If you're really on the Board you should be able to afford a catering service!
Try a mixture of hard cheeses such as "Sargo" (Argentina) Asago ((Italian) and Parmisian (Italian) Add some semi-soft and soft cheeses. A brie cheese covered with a pepper jelly is excellent!
Add some dried fruit such as figs and dates. Also nuts. Serve with good red or Pinot. Remember to have some crackers or bread.

If you really want to impress them and if you are in London, you could go to La Fromagerie on Moxton Street (www.lafromagerie.co.uk). They could help you select a number of cheeses that would be perfect. If you aren't in London, I would go to a Waitrose cheese counter and ask them to put together about 3 to 5 cheeses for a dinner party - they do it all the time so they know what cheeses to select.

Get several cheeses. Put them on several plates. Each plate has its own knife. Get several kinds of crackers also. Wine goes great with cheese, get several wines. After a few cheese offerings people may want to sweeten up, get a box of candy (Whitman's Samplers) take the pieces out of the box and place them on a tray of ice. If you can get a tray with a hole in it, put the tray over a container to catch the drippings. Noone likes soggy chocolate.
good luck.

Find a local cheese shop (or a nice supermarket with a dedicated cheese counter) and ask them for suggestions. They will probably be able to recommend some cheeses will go well with your meal.

I would suggest you hire a catering service from your area;then give them suggestions on what favorite foods some of your guess like; they can probbly come up with a menu to please all your guess. This will also free you up to entertain and socialize with your guess in stead of running backforth from the kitchen; making a good impression is half the battle.
