Actually, the sores are EXTREMELY painful, and itch worse than a b----! The sores last at least a week before it clears up. There is Valtrex meds, but not everyone gets it, because not all herpes patients get the prescription for it. (doctors only give it to certain people).
Look for cold sore-like bumps, and itching and UNBEARABLE pain in the sores area. Also, your genital might feel tingly.
Also, besides the above, just hope you don't have it because it's socially just as bad a HIV/AIDS. If you have herpes, it's nearly impossible to get a romance partner. If you do have someone who wants to date you despite it, make sure that you get to know them, and make sure they want you and not your body.
You can also get sores on your butthole area.
And safe sex is necessary because even in between outbreaks (and they happen less often as time goes on), you can still pass the herpes onto someone even when no outbreaks are there. And no sex whatsoever when you are outbroken. You can even pass it via anal and oral sex. Herpes can get into the mouth, too.
But see a doctor as soon as you notice something not right because the proper diagnosis only really happens when you have outbreaks, or on the verge of getting them.
Good Luck.

If you ever had a cold sore you will know what it feels like. although genital herpes is a different strand the two are related. Everyone else its right you should see a doctor and stop having sex until you get treated specially if you have open sores. Herpes is very contagious and even though it is easily treated there is no cure. Antibiotics wouldn't do any good

There are two main types of herpes. Herpes simplex type1 and type 2. Type 1 is usually associated with the mouth, type 2 with the genital area.
Learn how to cure it: https://tr.im/w6IrX
It won't kill you, though it will cause you to break out in blisters. After contracting either type, your body will produce antibodies after six weeks that will stop you from reinfecting yourself, or someone else re-infecting you. So, if you get type 1 of the mouth, during that six weeks, you can re-infect youself while shaving. Or, if you have an outbreak and touch a sore, if you touch somewhere else on your body, such as your genitals, you will contract, genital herpes, type 1. You can also get oral herpes type 2, in addition to type 1, if you perform oral sex on someon with genital herpes type two.
Condoms will not completely protect you from the disease since parts of the body not covered by the condom can rub against the infected individual. Plus, if they are not having an outbreak, you do not know where the infected spots are located on their body. Herpes is a skin-to-skin transmission type disease.
Though it is skin-to skin, it can be transmitted by skin-surface-skin contact. For example, sharing a drinking glass or towel.
Herpes, type 1 and 2, can be passed on to others at any time, whether the infected person is having an outbreak or not. There is no cure, just antiviral medication to help treat/prevent outbreaks.

I got identified with genital herpes (type 2) about 6 years ago, when I was still in college and had a dumb one-night stand. I realize loads of young ladies will declare this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores round her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/1qEgB everything changed.
Not only was I able to remove all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This method gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the World.

You can get it at any age, typically when the person becomes sexually active. And yes, they are extremely painful and itchy during the first outbreak.
The primary outbreak of genital herpes tends to last longer and be more severe than subsequent (recurrent) outbreaks. Symptoms of a primary outbreak may include:
* Flulike symptoms, such as fever, headache, and muscle aches. These symptoms usually get better within a week.
* Tingling, burning, itching, and redness at the site where an outbreak is about to occur (prodrome).
* Painful, itchy blisters on the penis, on the vulva, or inside the vagina. Blisters may also appear on the anus, buttocks, thighs, or scrotum, either alone or in clusters. They may be barely noticeable or as large as a coin.
* Blisters that break and become shallow, painful, oozing sores.
* Swollen and tender lymph nodes in the groin.
* Painful urination.
* Abnormal vaginal or urethral discharge.
Occasionally a person will experience symptoms months or even years after being infected, making it very difficult to identify the sex partner who was the source of the infection.
