Honestly, do not believe most anything that comes from PETA. They definitely believe that the "ends justifies the means," so they will say anything to accomplish their goals.

No, it's not. Despite the best of intentions, PETA has an agenda and sometimes, people in that organization are willing to say whatever it takes to push that agenda even when their statements are not true.
I'll concede that some diseased cows may concievably produce milk with blood and puss but I think your government's regulations would prevent such milk from ever reaching consumers.

PETA must not be aware of the grading standards. The only time that milk may contain such yucky stuff is if the cow has mastitis which is an infection of the mammary glands. If that is the case the dairy will milk that cow separately from the rest of the herd to prevent any contamination of the other milk.
Don't believe everything you hear from PETA.

No, PETA's just a propaganda machine. It'll tell you anything to try and win you over to it's side. I've read it's site, most of it is completely untrue, some is embellished and some is taken out of all context and proportion. Almost nothing there is completely true.
I wouldn't trust them if they told me my shoelace was untied.
Besides, even if that were true, which I doubt but I have no evidence to the contrary, it would be treated before it reached the consumers anyway. Either way, what would be the point of a cow feeding it's young something full of nasty, unhealthy stuff? Nothing, so I sincerely doubt its truth.

Absolutely not true...just like human milk cow milk is about as pure as it gets...provided the "provider" doesn't have any raging infections going on. With the rules and regulations the FDA has in place you can be assured the milk you have is clean and healthy.
The problem with PETA is that they assume a millitant approach to animal rights. Just like the current administration they won't shy away from releasing lies and half-truths to further their own goal. I mean, come on...this is an organization that releases lab animals that have been infected with the most horrendous deseases. How's that for ethical? Lets save two rabbits and infect the countryside.

Although it's possible for anything in the production/processing part of getting milk from the cow to your house, it's almost impossible for 'blood and puss' to make it into the food chain.
Tour a dairy plant - you'd be amazed how sanitary those places are. It's dairy after all - if there was puss (and therefore large amounts of bacteria) you wouldn't get milk in a jug - you'd get unflavored half set cheese.
That would be nasty.

www.nomilk.com or for a less scientific guys collection of rants: www.notmilk.com. It's got white blood cells and puss due to the chronic infections of the cow. Every living thing's got bacteria and white blood cells doing work. Meat has got poop on it. Chickens are soaked in water to increase their selling weight and it invariably gets poop in it that spreads to all the other carcasses. Eating stuff from animals is dirty business no matter how carefully it is done.

Whenever possible buy ORGANIC milk .Stonyfield has awesome tasting yogurt. Larger grocery stores all have sections devoted to Organic Foods.
You don't want to consume products that are full of hormones, antibiotics or pesticides.
Read THIS:
http://www.organicconsumers.org/organic/seven052505.cfm
That site is full of info on today's problems with factory farming, pesticides, hormones and antibiotics. Read up & share with people you know. Note that right now they are boycotting Horizon.

PETA will tell you anything to get you on their side. Think 'scientology'.
At the same time, to be honest but not offensive, much produce, washed or not, has at one time been urinated on by some sort of animal.
If you think about it, everything has a 'yuck' factor. Some is true, some is not, but really if it hasn't bothered you yet, why change because some extreme institute wants you as a follower?

no, that is so very not true. the only way it would contain that is if it came from diseased cows. i live in an area that has alot of dairy farmers, and they won't milk cows like that...they cull them and treat them until they are better. unhealthy cows won't give much milk anyway, and the farmers want as much milk as possible. they go to great lengths to keep their cows healthy and happy.
