I've heard that chlamydia can go unnoticed for a long time in a man. How long could he be infected until symptoms occurred? I've read it could be years. Thanks and no sarcasm, please

I've read 1/2 of men who have chlamydia have no symptoms at all; others have symptoms so mild they aren't noticeable. So, yes, it can be months and even years for a man to realize he has chlamydia.

In men, chlamydia can lead to:
* painful inflammation of the testicles, which may result in reduced fertility or sterility
* occasionally, Reiter's syndrome (inflammation of the joints, urethra and eyes)

If you think you might have it then go to the doctor as soon as you can. Testing for chlamydia is just a simple urine test and can be treated with antibiotics. Good luck!

It usually will show up soon in his pee when he go to the bathroom it will burn at the end of his urine. But Chlymadia goes away on its own if you don't treat it because its a bacteria not a virus and your body will fight it off but you won't be able to have anymore children and something else probably goes wrong but if you get it again and it wasn't treated the first time then it will come back on its own 10 years later worst.

You're right. If you suspect you've got it, go to your doctor and get treatment. It's simple and effective.
