HPV can not be passed through breast feeding. HPV is only passed through sex and direct skin to skin contact with warts.
It is possible to get warts anywhere on the body, but the most common places are the genital area, hand and feet warts. Everything else is pretty rare. If you do have them on your breasts then you should not breast feed.

First off, she should chat with her doctor about this, he/she will be able to give her more appropriate counselling than anyone here. I did a search on pubmed, and couldn't find anything relating to HPV transmission in milk. There's something in milk that helps fight HPV lesions (warts) (in concentrated form), interestingly. As I understand it, it's probably a wise idea for her to have a C-section, but it depends. Did she test positive as in she has antibodies against HPV, or as in she has genital warts? Do they know which virus it is? Several cause cervical cancer, but others do little more than cause icky warts. But there's no reason why she should avoid breastfeeding unless she for some odd reason has the 'genital' warts on her breasts. If she has a C-section, I'd think there'd be little chance of the baby being infected. Note - an answerer above seems to have confused human papillomavirus (HPV) with herpes (HSV or HSV). TOTALLY different virus!

You cannot pass HPV to babies through breastmilk. It is possible to pass it your baby during birth but usually the Dr. would do a C-section if they thought it would be a problem.
