You can take Licorice Root to help break down the mucus - Garlic is a natural anti-biotic and lastly - rinse your sinuses with saline.
Doesn't feel so great but it will clear things right up. Tip your head to the side and pour saline into the nostril on top - It will pour out the other one and take with it all the yucky stuff in your sinus. Do it once daily for 5 days and you should be good!

As someone who suffered from chronic sinusitis with 6-8 infections per year, my doctor tried and alternative thearpy and started treating me for migraines (no antibiotics) Since that time (1 1/2 years) I've not had another infection. Just something to consider. Your doctor could probably show you the study that supports this.

A true sinus infection must be treated with antibiotics. Natural cures are hard....prevention with antihistamine (Claritin, Zyrtec) and a good decongestant used early with congestion is your best bet. Also, prevent them by avoiding dairy products when you get stuffy as this thickens nasal discharge.

Humidity, try steam and hot compress, but if it's sinusitis, it's already an infection.

a lot of respritory problems can be solved by the inhalation of boiled ecylyptus leaves, but in the chance that that is not going to work, I have found a Holisitc Cures website that may be of use to you in the future: http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/sinus_infection.html
