I have eaten some dog soup before but it was really weird when I ate some live squid. It was still moving when I put it in my mouth.

Fried Bugs from Thailand.
I ate quite a few types, crispy crickets to larger insects where you eat just the fleshy body and discard the legs. If the exo-skeleton is tough, you might have to spit it out. I prefer smaller insects myself.
I don't really like the legs of crickets because sometimes, if not fried long enough, they can be hard to eat (not crispy enough).
My favourite is the larvae. They are not too big, around 1-2cm long, and yellow-brown in colour. They are fried and served with a dash of sauce (soy+fish I guess) and some salt. They are soft and creamy without being mushy.
A great snack, and goes very well with cold beer.
Actually I just came back from Thailand and sneaked some in; the small pack is in my fridge and I'm going to help myself to some.
Bon Appetit!
P.S. I also have 'sea cucumber' but that's just normal in chinese cuisine; it's quite nice and chewy in soups and it's good for your cartillage and skin :)

I ate a key once! I was six... but I suppose that doesn't really count as 'cuisine' as such.
Well, I had a little fried locust, I think he was done in butter, just tasted of garlic. After that, well, squid guts were quite atrocious, almost as bad as modern music ;) I didn't eat a lot, just enough to know I wasn't going to enjoy it.
Get this though- my mate had live prawn sushi, the 'nama iki ebi'. They just pull the carapace off, then slap it down on a slab of rice, then you eat it- alive! Apparently it wriggles more if you bite it... that's fresh.

Ants' eggs. Mexican dish, very expensive, better known as Escamoles. Delicious! And Mezcal with a worm inside at the bottom of the bottle (if you swallow it, you'll have an LSD experience for 7 seconds)

When I was little I tried a Milkbone dog biscuit on a dare. I was trying to impress the two boys that lived next door.

I'd have to say worms. When I was a kid, my neighbor (who was a bully) told me that fishing worms were spaghetti without the sauce, so I took them in and asked Mom to fix them for me and she was busy and wasn't paying a lot of attention and told me she would later, so I went back outside and ate them anyway as they were.
