Are they good? Which one is better? This will be my second totally meat free Thankgiving this year and wanted to try something new. I want to be able to eat one of them with Vegetarian "turkey" gravy and cranberry sauce : )

bmc:
First of all, both of these roasts contain 14 grams of protein per serving. Secondly, my question had nothing to do with how much sodium was in either of them so your response is worthless and unwelcome.

Pick the Quorn Roast. The taste and texture are amazingly turkey-like to me. The box will have baking directions--either cut a few slits in the wrapping or remove it from the wrapping and rub with oil and herbs. Both methods are good. I usually bake two at a time and use any leftovers for cold sandwiches. Although Biran_Sefar would obviously disagree with me, I find Quorn Roast to be delicious!
Re: Jenifer S's comment below--the Quorn roast does contain egg white & whey protein, so it's meat-free but not vegan. The link below has more info.

Quorn tastes like it could be a deli meat if it was sliced thin. I like the Tofurkey, some don't care for it. Alternately, it's not as pretty, but I've done Morningstar Farms Chic patties with gravy and any turkey flavored deli slices heated with gravy. As long as there is stuffing and mashed potatoes, it's cool.
Test run both of them in the next month. Just don't do it in October or November because you will spoil the holiday by eating it again too soon.

i'm fairly particular some well being-nut vegetarians do eat tofurkey burgers. this is like, you're making your tofurkey for Thanksgiving and then eat tofurkey sandwiches the subsequent day... type of a similar element. Yeah, i do not understand the position i decide on this.

I'd be careful with the Quorn roast, some ppl have serious allergic reactions to Quorn (http://www.cspinet.org/quorn/). Tofurkey is okay sliced thin, but I've never had it as a big chunk.

You are about to waste a good amount of your own hard-earned income if you buy either one of these. There is no good way to put it: quorn is strange. I do not know if I'll ever be able to suppress my gag reflex long enough to get some of it down. As for the "tofurky turkey", just don't do it! You will kick yourself for wasting the money! A small group of us are in complete agreement that the tofurkey is something that just plain should NOT have been created. Use your gravy on mashed potatoes and stuffing.

Quorn has an animal ingredient, I think. Tofurkey Roast is good, but my favorite is Unturkey.

I tried tofurkey and didn't care for it, my brother (Vegan) loved it!
Go for Quorn, just because it's everybody else's turkey day, doesn't mean you have to comply
Good Luck, and message me recipes!

Have you looked at the sodium content in "FAKE" meat.
THe body needs protein, which you do not get from that crap either.
No Protein and way to much salt is not healthy, you are looking for overall health problems. One of which is with the heart. Not to mention weight gain from all the salt, (water retention).
