ive tried to make the pastry but it aint quite right, not flaky enough.

375g plain flour
1 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp salt
175g margarine

sift flour, turmeric and salt into bowl. rub in margarine to resemble breadcrumbs. add about 4tbsp water to make a firm dough.
cover and chill.
divide into 8 balls and roll out circles about 7inches. put the filling on half the circle moisten the edges with water fold pastry over and seal with a fork.

it is short crust pastry withj a bit of extra pepper in it

All it is, is Shortcrust Pastry with pepper in it.
