Hey guys! I was at a Jordanian friend's house and she gave me these grape leaf things. They were really good (but kinda sour) and I was wondering what they're called and where I can get the grape leaves. (I'd ask my buddy, but we don't really keep in touch ne more)

Just a note. Everyone elses advice seems fine. I just wanted to add that all the grapes leaves I have seen come in a jar with liquid. Maybe someplace they sell them fresh but this may help when you are actually trying to locate them at the grocery store.

Stufffed Grape Leaves.is in basic terms one variety of dolma. Rice Filling: I made some wild rice and brown rice and mixed with cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, lemon juice and olive oil. Kale “wrappers” De-stemming & Trimming I decrease the stems off of the biggest kale leaves [I had leftovers that didn’t bypass the enormous leaf attempt]. and used my veggie peeler to trim the veins down so they may be greater pliable while cooked. Boiling the leaves I further some water with a tablespoon of cider vinegar to a boil in a shallow pot and layered my leaves. I place a lid from a smaller mouthed pot as we communicate on the leaves to weight them. I gave them approximately 6 minutes interior the tub. I pulled the leaves out and enable them to chill out somewhat and lie them flat on a reducing board. Spoon filling in porportion to the leaf if itself. Or in case you don’t innovations the ratio, use a similar quantity of filling. [the spring roll approach labored in basic terms high quality, yet smaller]. place the completed dolmas in a shallow dish. I had the rather some emulsion left over from the filling and poured that over the dolmas. hide the dish and chill out for bit. the end result. Grape pass away are plenty greater comfortable and greater daintier to consume than the kale leaves. The greater fibrous leaf, made the dolmas a sprint complicated to consume. in case you serve this as an app- i might decrease them in greater chew length peices for ease.

I get mine at the local supermarket, Kroger. I'm sure other large chains carry them. Just ask Customer Service where they are in the store.
