No, they are not, because depending on the variety, they may include gelatin (which is made from skin, bones and connective tissue of animals), and red or blue LAKE coloring which is made from the shells of the Lac beetle. It is considered to be a natural coloring, but really, who actually WANTS to eat bugs???
If you like pop-tarts, look for an all natural brand which you can get at a natural grocery store like Whole Foods. They even taste better, too.

Last I heard, the frosted ones contain non vegetarian friendly ingredients.

Read the ingredients, a lot of things use beef fat instead of butter/margarine cos its cheaper. If you read the labels on biscuits a lot have animal fat in them. If your a vegetarian you need to read the labels on EVERYTHING. Its amazing what u find animal products in that u dont think you would

They would be considered not vegetarian because they have eggs, milk products and possibly gluten in them.
Alot of vegetarians wont eat anything to do with animals. example: eggs , milk, cheese...
So although they have no meat .. some vegetarians still wont touch them.

The unfrosted ones are; the icing on the frosted ones contain gelatin, which is the byproduct of a dead animal.Definitely NOT veggie friendly.

Depends on your definition of vegetarian. They don't contain meat, but they DO contain gelatin.

Do you mean vegan? Because I'm pretty sure they don't have meat, but they might have eggs in the mix of the pastry.
