No. Some people enjoy eating their meat raw. In Japan (and anywhere else where sushi or sashimi are served) they eat raw fish. Lots of people eat raw oysters. So it isn't such a weird thing. If you're craving is largely for red meat, it might indicate you are slightly anemic. But if you just enjoy the taste of it, go for it. Just be sure you get it from a source that handles certified meat so you don't pick up parasite, brucillosis or any of those other things that can accompany uncooked meats.

Of course not, before humans discovered how to make fire themselves all they ate was raw meat. If you're brought up on cooked meat, which is safer, your body is likely to have a bit of trouble with raw meat, at least at first, if it's contaminated. That's because it'd be unused it, not because of any innate unhealthiness. If you were brought up on raw meat it would be perfectly safe.

People still drink raw eggs. It's not as common now, as salmonella is more a problem than it was thirty years ago, but ignoring that there's no problem at all.

All the same, I don't eat raw meat, rare, bloody steaks are fun though.

Cravings are often tip off as to what the body is deficient in. If you are a vegetarian, you probably are iron-deficient. Isn't cool how our bodies know what we need adn make us have a desire for that?!

I'd suggest eating some meat, maybe a nice (small) steak, cooked med-rare (not raw!). If you just can't bring yourself to eat meat, chicken is high in iron as well. If you can't do that, start tanking in the dark, green leafy veggies like spinach, kale, kohlrabi, swiss chard, and eggs and dry beans.

It's normal but also a sign of vitamin band mineral deficiency. It's especially common durig pregnancy. It can also be a learned behavior. My grandmother always ate raw hamburger and because of that I grew up eating it and eventually craved raw steaks etc. I can say from experience that the absolute worst part about it is that restaurants flat our refuse to serve you uncooked steak. One time at outback I sent the steak back three times before they finally got the picture and sent me a raw one. The cook actually came out to watch because he didn't believe I'd eat it lol.

It could be your body's' way of telling you that you are low in iron...eat lots of spinach or take an iron supplement. I have cravings for things when my body is low on a certain nutrient. Once I provide my body with the nutrient that whatever my body is craving, i get over the craving. I.e. when I want red meat,(which I don't eat) I eat lots of dark green leafy vegetable or beets. These are high in iron.
