Seriously, that was pretty generous, Was the service exceptional, could you afford it, did you do it just to impress.
Next time just twenty, okay. Unless the server pops out to the parking lot and washes your car too.

That should be more than enough. I believe the going rate is 15 percent now. Which would be about $15.00. You gave a 25 percent tip, which is above average, at least the way I understand it. It also depends on how many people were in your party, because if the waiter or waitress has to do extra waiting on your table, because of more people, I think they should be given a higher tip.

15-20% is the normal range. Please disregard the folks saying things like 10% or $5, they must not be in the United States. Other countries don't have the same tipping protocols we do.

25% would be warranted for really exceptional service, or would be the cool thing to do if you had a table that was really difficult to serve for some reason (large group, heavy drinkers, people harrassing the servers). I'm sure your servers were very grateful.

That's actually a generous tip. Usually the gratuity is expected to be anywhere between 18-20%, and you gave 25%.

That might be a little bit high, depending on the restaurant. I usually tip 15% unless the service was exceptional and the restaurant unusually nice, in which case I tip 20%. Your tip was 25%. I hope they earned it! :)

A normal tip is considered 15% and for good service you might rise that to 20%. Your 25% would be considered a "gift".

That is a 25% tip. Normally, you would give 15% - 20%.

That's a good tip for a $100 order.

When we normally go out, we give about $10 at the most as a tip. But we normally give like $5. But some people do give like $30. So it really depends on what kind of rate you are comfortable with.

yes! that is over 20%...unless the service is horrible, you should always give 20%. Many times the server isn't earning a salary at all after tipping out bussers, bar staff, and declaring to the state.
