Yes my family and friends tease me about and some people tell me that is stupid. But i tell them striaght up about the facts. Go to http://www.goveg.com/order.asp
and order a free vegetarian starter kit. Totally free i did it and got a magazine about all the facts on why you should stop eating meat it is really interesting.

Yes, I do get challenged by meat eaters on a regular basis. I was lucky when I became veg that my mom was enlightened enough not to give me a hard time (she still eats fish and doesn't call herself a vegetarian, but she's since given up all other flesh foods.)

It depends on who they are and how they present their question. Polite, curious people get an honest answer. Rude strangers get the sharp side of my tongue because, frankly, it's tiresome. I'll just tell them my eating habits are nobody else's business.

Yeah, I have a lot of friends and new people I meet that "tease" me about being a vegan and they did when I was a vegetarian. Just tell them you don't like it when they tease you and that you don't eat meat because you don't believe its morally right (or whatever reason you have). People still bug me about it and it used to annoy me at first but I have gotten used to it. Just shake it off and don't worry what they think.

Often I snap back at my family for harassing me, but friends or acquaintances I respectfully explain my views on factory farms without trying to gross them out or guilt them. I tell them that it's my right to be vegetarian, just as it is their right not to be. That usually settles it.

people used to always be asking me why, but now, people have accepted that some people just don't eat meat, and it really is not buisiness of theirs. but if people do ask you, you should tell them the truth. if you don't feel comfortable doing that, then just say moral reasons.
