Usually 10% because they don't serve your meal, only check to make sure you have a glass of water (some restaurants only serve water on request, so they may not even do that) and bring extra silver if you need it. They may or may not clear away used dishes -- usually the busboy does that.

Forget the whole idea of tipping.
This old fashioned way of increasing peoples income, is not on.
You are not only paying your bill you are also subsidising the wages of the staff. If the staff need a higher income they should receive it from their employers.
You are in fact keeping the staff on a low income. Tips are only given when there are customers, when the eatery is empty the staff wage is lower.
A kind word to a waiter or chef is worth more than cash.
When in Italy I had a wonderful meal and asked to see the chef, I was full of praise for his efforts, he smiled and then gave me a good hug. It's easy to give cash ,but, not to give praise.
it might be an idea to give a small tip with the instruction to put it towards a cook book if the food was not up to standard. That Way you will have make a point and left a tip. It works for me.

I use 10% because they don't serve my meal, they clean and serve drinks though. If they are good, you could give more, bad, less.
It use to be that 15% was the standard tip at a full service. That has changed to 20% by common practice. I only give the max if the service is good!
Don't encourage bad service.

Tipping has gotten totally out of control in the US.
If they keep my glass full, then I tip them 15% which is recognized as the average tip. But that's pretty much as good as someone who just fills your glass can expect.

Depends on the service, but about $4-5 since you get your own food.

If they keep my drink filled 5.00 if not just a few!!! now thats for a buffet! any other resturant 15-25% i tip good!!!

it depends on if u spend alot of time checking on all the guests that ur giving there drinks and the other stuff u do for them

None, unless they are bringing your drinks and being really good about clearing your table and such. I'd say 10-15%
