This can cause severe trauma to begin with....if you have contracted this infection......I can tell you ......its a severe pain to begin with......I can understand because I got this 20 years ago,,,,, the first two years it seems to come every 2 or 3 months.... a tingling in the genitles then blisters for two weeks.......once that passes then the years heal. It comes every couple of years...you just have to be careful with your partner......females are cool, their excuse is its that time of month....boys have to use the " I'm really tired".
