My brother is turning 16 this weekend, and I want to make some great snacks, appetizers, desserts, etc. Any ideas would be great.

- You could create a Fahita bar (spelling?)...."create your own"! Soft tortillas, tex-mex chesse, lettuce, tomatoes, cooked chicken, salsa, onions, green olives...etc...
OR a Baked Nacho!
OR Create your own Pizza (on pita breads or soft tortillas)
- for appetizers....bacon wrapped chestnuts are sooo amazing...really! 1 or 2 cans of whole chestnuts, lb of bacon, and favourite bbq sauce (a smokey one works great)!
.....cut bacon in thirds....wrap around a chestnut, secure with wet toothpick, and bake at 350 F until done! Serve dipped in bbq sauce! They're awesome!
dessert.....Ice cream cake from Dairy Queen!

Do 2 buffets.
#1: Build your own Taco Bar. Have crispy corn tortillas, soft flour tortillas, ground beef, diced chicken, lettuce, tom, cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, guac, pico de gallo, salsa, etc.
#2: Build your own Sundae Bar. 1-2 flavors ice cream, bananas, brownies, cookies, hot fudge, caramel, strawberries cut up in sugar to make a sauce, whipped cream, cherries, nuts, sprinkles, gummy bears, chopped candy bars, etc.
There. You're all done and the kids think it was the best party ever!

Go tapas style food. These are small easy pick it up with your hand size portions bits of food. Gehrkins with dijon mustard skewered, meatballs in sauce and parmesan sprinkled on top, skewers chicken oor beef or pork or vegetarian, olives, roasted almonds the choice is endless.

Well this should be pretty easy. What do 16 year olds like to eat. Pizza, chips, dips, soda. Keep it simple they will love it.

make the food part of the party, make your own pizzas with lots of toppings, decorate your own cupcakes with different frostings and sprinkles, or even make your own sundaes with different sauces and nuts and ice creams and stuff

Well, it was my sister's 16th party last month , Chicken drumsticks went down really well , they all went. Crisps, cocktail sausages, sandwiches, those little eggs balls , mini pork pies , swiss roll, fairy cakes.
